After the Plays With Cars article on Carmax's fiscally unwise extended warranty on high cost potential wallet bombs, I have been studiously trolling the national Carmax listings. There is some serious cars available from your local blue and yellow used car chain.
Using just BMW:
An 2011 Alpina B7! (in Vegas- interesting story there I bet. . )

Three! uber desirable 1m Coupes
Here is a nice one in white with only 11k on the clock:

Want to score maximum Jalopnik points AND make Carmax's CFO cry? Buy this with the extended warranty: 2008 M5 V10 with the 6 speed manual (Silver with the proper Red interior):

If you really wanna make carmax hurt, get an SMG V10 M5.

V10 M5?
I bet you can get something worse than that. An S65 AMG.

A worthy choice for sure. I just stuck with one brand. The Audi S6 with the V10 is another great "make the CFO cry" Carmax car.

Well, let's take it to whole another level.
Did carmax have an A8 with W12 in it?

Not that I saw- they don't buy certain car models.

Ow, that's bad. Maybe they already know that it's going to bankrupt them.
Haou about early-00 Mercedes CL?

They did have several of the V10 S6s.
And speaking "oh crap, we sold him a warranty"
2008 Audi RS4 (6 speed of course)

I wonder if Carmax has any W8 Passats....I would love to own one if it had warranty.
Edit: Oh yes they do indeed...no wagons (bah) but a pair of W8 sedans...one's even blue!
