For the most poorly styled RWD American V8 car ever.

It may have been poorly styled, but at least it was slow and unreliable, too.

Ah just saw the "New Yorker" at the top of the ad. Oops

I thought it was a Towncar at first, too.

Speaking of crappy autocross cars today, I saw a guy autocross one of the last RWD new yorkers once. I think the only time I've ever had more fun was when I watched the turbo-engine swapped caravan go around the track. I was also offered one of these as trade from one of the other techs at the shop I worked at when I was 17. I had a full size 1996 dodge conversion van with the roof and TV and vegas lighting. I turned it down for good reason.
Still an interesting vehicle though. Would be fun to hot rod one if you had spare cash. I imagine pulling 12s in a stock looking 1982 new yorker with a howling V8 and a missing hubcap would be a blast. Ooooooo and a fun sleeper/killer on woodward :)

Man I would love to see one at an autocross. I would love to have one as a sleeper—they are pretty interesting cars. Conversion van sounds badass, though.

It was hilarious enough in stock form, I imagine a lemons car would be a good fate for a slightly rotted one, but you need to leave in as much "luxury" as possible. And the van was freakin pimp, and a steal at 75$. But it needed a lot of cooling system and engine work before it was reliable. Worth it though when you're 17 and you have a rolling hotel suite for a car :P
The RWD new yorkers are interesting, the FWD ones.......not so much.

Imagine what happens to your body when you try to use the steering wheel while the car is moving.
