But seriously though. It's hands down the most beautiful Subaru ever built, and if there was an easy way to tune the engine in it, I'd get one.

Swap with STI. Tuning done. You're welcome

How much are these going for now? The Pacific NW is lousy with them. Perhaps its time to add a car to the garage????

I prefer N/A Powah myself. I'd love to see a 200-210 version of the 2.5 with no blower. Unfortunately, my research says that fairly impossible.

Careful saying something is the most beautiful here on Oppo. You might wake up in a bathtub with no kidneys.
Having said that, what makes you like this gen so much? Just the booty?

I agree this is a beautiful car, but the 05-09 LGT begs to differ on beautiful-est Subaru ever built

beautiful and Subaru are rarely used adjacently.

this gen LGT, but with the outback bumper please

I'd probably push 155-160 @ the wheels on my EJ25 if I got a tune, but 200 would probably require some serious money put into it.

Ahem.

I meant 200 at the crank. That would make it a ~7 second to 60 car. And I'd be okay with that for a daily.

I find them very "meh".

I love the tail lights and that center piece. And the boxy body lines are beautiful, they're purposeful without being boring or overt.

They're fairly cheap nowadays. Probably 5-7k depending on condition.

Fair enough. I find them pretty polarizing. In pictures it looks like a turbo Camry. In person they're much nicer. Having owned one, I have a love/hate relationship. Nice car when you're not working on them. When you're working on them, you hate their very existence.

Scratch that. I just looked. Apparently it's like 3-6k.

just get a JDM B4. Twice the turbo lag ;)

Seriously. The Outback sedan is so sexy.

but SO high!
so, either GT (or even the L, for the MPGs) sedan with outback bumper, or outback sedan with L or GT suspension

I'm okay with the height. I'm the guy that likes the old AMC Eagles lol. But seriously, just go up a size for wheels and get a meatier tire to fill the gap a little.

This gen ended in 04 right? I have an 05 Legacy GT and I wish they just put the turbo EJ255 in the older ones!

One more sad, they didn't offer a green Legacy GT in 2005 :(
