You only need 2k HP to cause space-time fluctuations?

Can't wait for the next Ford GT to beat it.

Correction: can't wait for Hennessey's Ford GT to beat that.

No offense, but I call BULLSHIT!
Did you see all the track prep and tire warmers, c'mon no officially sanctioned racing body is going to allow all that. I set the record for my car at the 2012 Texas mile and if I'd had that kind of prep done I could have increased my speed by 10% or better! That's just cheating - I'm surprised they didn't try to prep the entire mile.
His speed translates to 254MPH which is not the record. Patrick O'Gorman set the new Texas Mile record in Mark Heidaker's Ford GT with a speed of 278.2MPH! And this competition is sanctioned and no runway prep. Burnout and go...

1st I'm not offended because it's not my car nor was it my run, just sharing the video because it was cool.
2nd, are you saying that this is your car????
If so that is friggin' awesome! Would you like to be an author here on Oppo? We would love to read more of your exploits. (If this is not you, but I'm pretty sure it is, you are still welcome to be an author here)

Fair enough...title adjusted. :)

Still impressive! I think we'll see cars eclipse the 300 mark this year.

No, I said for my car... should have said for my car type. I know Hennesey and Heidaker, Lingenfelter, Stiegemeier and many other builders/tuners, but that's not mine.
And yes I'd love to be an author.

Ok...still pretty damn cool that you set a Texas mile record. I just added you as an author...Welcome to Oppo!
