If the car is permanently open cockpit, such as the Jaguar D-type, wear driving gloves. If not, don't.

I move to make this a permanent Oppo by-law.

having a lotus automatically puts me in that category, but I've worn gloves long before that. my first car had leather, including a leather wheel, so any driving with sweaty our wet hands would result with little black pieces of Lehrer ask over my hands. started wearing gloves since. better grip, keeps the wheel cleaner.

I'm not really a glove person in general, though I can see why this would make sense.

I always thought I was disadvantaged for not having driving gloves to give my glove box purpose...
but otherwise, what is the purpose of other cars having a glove box?
And whaddya wanna bet that a race-trim D-type doesn't bother with the weight of a glove box for the driver's gloves, for that open cockpit car?
And what is better, all-leather, or leather palms with woven string backs?
And helmets with visors, or helmets with goggles?

Winter gloves in case you need to change a tire in the cold?

Or, to be on the safe side, just don't. Ever.
