Last week, in light with its 60th birthday, I featured a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! to celebrate. Unfortunately, due to its high price, I'm afraid to say 54.55% of the voters gave the V-Dub a V-down. Now on NPoCP.ph, let's move on to the America's FWD sports machine, the Dodge Daytona.

The Daytona was named after the Charger Daytona from yesteryear. Unlike that Daytona, this one is a front-wheel-drive, two-door sports car. At first in the mid 80's, it looks more muscular like a Camaro, but when the years had passed, it looked more JDM, this model year being a Mitsubishi Starion (which coincidentally was under the Diamond Star Motors). Sure it may be rare here, but the design is so tasteless, I want to kill it with fire.
To make matters worse, the engine is lifted from the Japs, and it's not from the three diamond company.

Why couldn't this thing be a Conquest/Starion... then it would be acceptable.

I totally owned a daytona. And if you spend more than 2 grand on one it's cp.

Although they have a similar appearance, the Dodge Dayton/Plymouth Laser and the Mitsubishi Starion/Chrysler Conquest are not the same chassis.

Hmm.. I thought the FWD version was based on the Chrysler G platform, which was derived from the Chrysler K platform, and not on the Starion. I might be wrong, I live in europe so my knowlegde of american or "american" cars isn't perferct.

I almost bought a starion for my wife years and years ago. She liked it because the chime played 'it's a small world after all' when you opened the door. I always loved those starion/conquest twins.

I'm saying that the design looks like the Starion.
