Another Canadian water bomber comes to the rescue, this time for a rail car full of track ties that has caught fire in The Pas, MB.

The famous Canadair CL-215 , one of my favorite planes of all time.

Built in the 1960's, it's DNA can be traced back to the PBY Catalina from WWII. Despite it's age, it's probably the best water bomber in the world.

Very cool. Though I was waiting for the guy by the police truck to get absolutely hosed. It may not look like it, but those tankers drop a LOT of water.

A lot of water, and with great accuracy.

Nice.

Shaky, but horizontal video. Not filmed with a potato.
