The current gen Toyota Hiace (one of, if not the coolest van made today) is FR. You know what this means?
Hell yes.

Yeah, and that.

I wish they sold it over here

Same here. I think the van was so ridiculously cool that they had to keep it away from the NA market to avoid it purging too much coolness onto the road.

Why else do you think it has a huge aftermarket in Japan?

They had good intentions.

They sell it where I live, or at least try. There's very little reason to buy one over a Ford Transit or other European vans.

Whoa! Where DO you live? I've seen cool JDM things in Toronto, but never a Toyota Hiace.

I'm Polish. Toyota officially imports them to Europe.

I'd rather buy a Toyota than a Ford, even though Cologne is making a comeback.

Oh. I could see the Euro cars are a lot more popular there, I think possibly for parts.

Well, since it's a rare car you'd probably be forced to service it through Toyota, and that's very pricey. And they aren't competitively priced to buy either.

I've never seen them in Norway, sure you don't mean the bastardly ProAce?
The old HiAces however, is still the most common van here. Don't think any other car can beat its reliability. Maybe the HiLux..

Actually, just took a look at the Toyota website. The HiAce seems to have been taken off the market recently (must have been within the last couple of months, because I remember them being there). And yes, I'm sure the HiAce was for sale in Europe. I was really surprised when I saw it on the Toyota website (I went there to research the GT86). You don't ever see them on the streets though.
