The want is strong for one of these.

I'm always confused as to why people who love Crown Vics cite its body-on-frame structure as a "safety feature." In IIHS safety testing , its structure and safety cage received a score of "POOR."

Lucky they weren't subject to Sandy!
Ford should just bring over the Falcon instead of the Taurass

That's because they hit an immovable object. In the real world, cars don't hit smart cars backed by a concrete beam. The mass of this car usually wins in the real world. Plus there's lots of space to survive in the interior.

It isn't the BOF they love, its that its so goddamn cheap to repair.
Its safety cage is poor and in real life that is not good. The cage might be a tank but all that G force goes somewhere, generally that somewhere is soft tissues and necks and muscles that you spend months getting fixed.
It really just is that cheap. The Panther is an antique. It isn't THAT good in any other respect.

..."there's a lot of space to survive in the interior."
What.

If the car is in a severe enough acciden to where the cockpit is compromised, you have a much better chance of survival in a crown vic than in a civic.

I love it when you get baseless claims like these. They're great!

...but I drive one. I can assure you that the interior is much more roomy than a Civic.

I meant the claim that it's safer because its roomier. Show me proof. Don't just blurt out pseudo science.
