SUKA BLYAT!
Hope his pink helmeted passenger was impressed.

Yes, or as YouTube calls it "American Folk Artist Instumental".

Every single time my passengers tell me to honk on the horn, I turn around and glare.

What dashcam are you using? My interest for one has been ramped up after seeing this

I've had passengers reach over to try and honk the horn. I wanted to kick them out of my car.

Not in total agreement with you Takuro. Yeah, they did move over into your lane, but traffic was backing up and everyone was slowing down. My Oppoinion.

This may be a slightly stupid question , but may I ask what dash cam you use.
I am looking to get one and I have no idea what to buy or how much to pay

The first or second time? Its hard to tell from the video, and the fish-eye effect of the lens, but it was a lot closer, an I braked a lot harder than it looks.

Some cheap ($50) Chinese thing from Amazon. Well, cheapest HD camera with an HDMI output they had. It's a hunk of crap, and only works if I play with the settings before turning it on manually every time I drive. I wouldn't recommend it, but if you don't mind living with defects... you get what you pay for in this price bracket.

That would make a difference. Based on the Vid, it did not look that bad. But I was not there. I have mirrors on my bike with the message "Assholes in your mirror are closer than they appear" :)

The best part is, I was half expecting him to do that, call it a asshat 6th sense. I already had my foot hovering over/starting to depress the brake (for him AND the impending slow down of my lane), and was keeping an eye on him.

Understand that!

I got this off ebay and works pretty well, was mentioned in the dashcam articles on FP a while back.

Skip the first 20 seconds.

Maybe if they were allowed to lane split he wouldn't have gone in front of you.
He said, without a hint of bias.

They are here. Milwaukee is very motorcycle friendly. But I have seen it literally zero times.

Really? I thought CA was the only state to legally allow lanesplitting?
![]() 08/26/2013 at 20:07 |

I'm split on that one. It wasn't really as much of a cutoff as a very late change. If you don't have to hit the brakes it wasn't a cut off, and it looks like he knew you were there and just got around and goosed it, didn't hold you up.
![]() 08/27/2013 at 07:25 |

That's because lane splitting is illegal everywhere in the US except California.

Huh. I wonder what the purpose is behind all those "share the road" and "cycles have equal rights" stickers around here. Maybe it USED to be legal? Fuck if I know. Don't have a bike, don't pay attention to the laws.

... I have no faith in beige drivers. :|
![]() 08/30/2013 at 13:07 |

Sorry, but that doesn't seem all that bad to me. Defensive driving would predict, based on his previous actions and traffic conditions, that he would be likely to do that. Still annoying, but predictable, I think.

Hey, I was in my Mazda, not the Camry this time.

I did predict, and was watching him as I slowed for upcoming traffic. If I hadn't been aware of him, the outcome may have been different.
