This seems to be a Ford Courier or a VW Caddy, bothmodels from the mid 90's.

I think it's the caddy, of 1996-2003 vintage.

Exactly. Although it's the other way around, the VW is a badge engineered SEAT. I never knew either, but Wikipedia told me so it's true.

It's true. It's based on the Seat Ibiza, and that had no VW counterpart. I know it, but I always think of the Caddy as the "first" since it's the most common around here..
