I just found out that the same person that dubbed Natsuki Mogi is Brina Palincia. Otherwise know as the person that did the voice for Holo the Motherfucking Wise Wolf

The dubs for Initial D are widely considered the worst dubs in the history of Anime... so is this a good thing or a bad thing?

I think I watched two minutes of the English dub once just to see how bad it was. I couldn't take it any longer than that. I don't even know how they could ruin it any more... Wait, I do:

That has way more to do with them changing music, names, and basically saying "lol, original script, what's that?" Than the quality of the voice acting. That said the funimation job was worlds better than the abomination that was the Tokyopop version.

thanks, I was just thinking of this video today when I woke up.
But I agree, there are far better way to do a dub even if I will always try to get the original voices (no matter what language is) and subs

Are you thinking about the tokyopop dub (the old one). Funimation redubbed it.

Even if Funimation redubbed it most dubs are still losing a LOT in translation. Take any decent fan-sub and compare it to most dubs. You might feel like you're watching your favorite show for the first time.

If you haven't already, you should watch the rest of Harry Partridge's animations. They can be pretty unhinged, but/and the animation is smooth and he's a great voice actor.
