... to manual transmissions!
The lucky lady was a 2002-ish Saturn sedan owned by my friend. I'm so happy! My starts are kind of sketchy, half of the time I would stall, the other half of the time I would squelch the tires. I only got one nice start. My 1 - 2 shift is a bit sketchy too. I would let the clutch out too fast and not give it enough gas, the car would shake back and forth quite violently. However, my 2 - 3 and 3-4 shifts are beautiful. There was no bad clutch smell or grinding at any time. I guess top gear and gran turismo have done me well. My next car will have to be a manual. I can't wait for my next opportunity to drive a stick.
Do I get my Jalop card now?

Congratulations, you finally drove a stickshift car! (I think you posted months back about fiddling with the manual in a friend's parked Miata.)
On a side note, those are some wacky-looking wheel covers.

I used the gear stick in the miata but he worked the clutch and gas.

Congrats. For your next assignment, you must apex everything.

I already do that whenever possible :D

Dude... that car is only 11, that's not right.
(Congrats!)

How to not stall anymore:
1. Get moving with only the clutch, as to get a feel for the engagement point.
2. Repeat a lot of times.
3. ???
4. Profit
Also, congrats!

Saturns came with manuals?

Wait, you shift and have the car move without using the gas pedal and clutch at the same time?

Super base model. It had roll up windows

They grow up so fast! You did use protection right?

No, it's just a parking lot exercise—first gear only. Just let out the clutch slowly and get it rolling, without touching the gas. Then stop. Repeat. And add in the gas once you're comfortable with that.

Another trick I used while learning was the ol' double pump technique. As your letting out the clutch (And getting close to the slip point) you pump once (To maybe 2k rpm or so), let off most of the way, and pump again. This time the clutch will grab, and you can let off of the clutch, ease on the gas, and your on your way. This way, no slippage and a smooth start. Great for hillstarts too

Next time I drive a stick, I shall try that.

Plus, my dad always does it, and when he used to do it in the Trans Am he could get the tires to spin without really even hitting the gas. Which was obviously a good time whenever we were turning out of a street

once you go manual you never go back
