Find a car that you'd really love to have, and say why you want it. Keep it in this thread.
This beauty is a 1948 Buick Sedanette. It's got classic styling, a smooth ride, plenty of room, and the straight 8 lets you keep up on the highway. Surprisingly, these cars aren't prohibitively expensive, meaning some day I may be able to pick one up.

More than anything in the world? A Bentley Continental T Mulliner. I don't have one, obviously, because they're very rare, expensive to buy, and even more expensive to own.

I want Rat-L-Trap to be road worthy.

Kenmeri Skyline.
The coupe variant has an epic combination of American muscle and Japanese humbleness.
I think they mostly came with straight-six engines, and is therefore very cool.
They're old J-Tin, thereby overriding the awesome meter, and (to my knowledge) never sold in North America, making them unicorns even rarer than their younger Skyline GT-R brethren, but just as much desired by those who know.
Yes, only 52 Kenmeris were made as 2000GT-Rs, but there exists many components to give you the look, and many more people who will up the performance for you.
Also, since it's a Nissan I'll have to assume it's reliable.

'56 De Soto Firedome 2dr hardtop: 50's styling without the overblown qualities of later models, is a two-door hardtop, has dead-brand cachet and Mopar quirkiness, and is FAST. It's a model released as a platform for the Hemi, and with minor tweaks can take advantage of relative lightness and blow the doors off most other unmodified 50's sleds.
Dat interior (also push-button auto lol)

Ah, I would have a Titanium colored Mazda Japan Exclusive, elusive, and exquisite Miata Coupe!

I have such a soft spot for DeSotos. The '57 Fireflite is my favorite American car of all time, though the Firedomes and Firesweeps are also gems.

A car with economical design and balance.

I would've loved my Montego to be one of these crazy Cyclones with the big block:
Instead I just want my Montego to get it's exhaust system and start roaring around town:

There was a guy I found on Craiglist (Jacksonville, FL) selling two '56s in "major resto needed" condition but more or less intact about a month and a half ago. Would have been a "shut up and take my money!" except my "spend on ludicrous projects" fund was at that time <$2000. That, and I need what parking space I can finagle to store portions of Project Swimchero in the near future, and Land-Rovers belonging to relatives/siblings. Le sigh.

There are three cars that I really want to own. A 1965 Buick Skylark hardtop, preferably a GS with a 4 speed.
A 1956 Olds Holiday
And a rally-prepped 911

+1 on the Olds, for reasons my submission to this topic should make clear.

BMW M535i. Classic. Understated. Bulletproof. I'd put a slight lowering on it like in this image, some classic Alpina wheels, done. Don't care what color, either. Then I'd DD the shit out of it.
You find one, you let me know!

The one I'll never have : Ferrari 250 GT Lusso . I want one, you see, because look at it.
The one I want even more but am only slightly more likely to ever own : Citroën DS . It's the prettiest car ever in my opinion, and, need I tell you, a technological masterpiece.
Quite a bit more affordable, the Peugeot 304 Cabriolet (or the 204 Cabriolet , I can never decide which one I like best). They're almost the same car (FWD 2-seaters, tranverse 4-cylinder), the 204 (that'll be the red one) is I think prettier, but the 304 (in S trim) had a bit more power and better suspension. I can already picture going away for the week-end in one of these, big leather suitcase strapped behind the seats because it won't fit in the trunk.
And finally, the one I wouldn't have much trouble picking up, the Peugeot 406 Coupé . I think it's that car that got me interested in all things with four wheels, it used to turn my head every time I saw one when I was little, and still does to this day. It's inexpensive, very tasteful, and quite understated, but God is it pretty ! And it's the last Peugeot to be designed by Pininfarina, which gives it a bit of history as well. I'd be happy to have one in almost any color (except the ugly pale yellow), as long as it's pre-facelift, has the petrol V6, and the tan leather seats.

Yeah, there is something about the less common '50s cars that appeals to me. Plus, I just love the lines/curves on the Olds so much better than the comparable Chevys. Having less of a following makes them fairly affordable too!

Just about any top-of-the-line Citroën

Ford Model A. With a roof rack and a suitcase holder thing in the back.
I could go for a 4 door too.
Anyway, I'd swap in an ecoboost engine or something fuel efficient and daily drive it.

Thanks Demon-Xanth, I'm looking forward to participating in the shenanigans!
I have only one question, maybe you can help me with it. I am wondering if you know how to get out of the grey in the comment section?
Thanks oppo. commo.

Yes it not a car, it's a truck. It's a 2013 International Lonestar. I'd like to have this one day because look at it. It just looks so badass.
