Fortunately, the production version will be called the ETS, or something like that.

Sounds like some place in Dubai that cost a retarded amount of money to build and was built for no real reason.
They're probably making their target market feel more comfortable.

Eldorado would be even better

Exactly. This car is the spiritual successor to the Eldo, after all.

" El Mirage Lake is a dry lake bed in the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County, California . The lake is located about 9 miles (14 km) west-northwest of the town of Adelanto and 10 mi (16 km) north of Highway 18 in San Bernardino County ."
"For 50 years the lakebed has been used by the Southern California Timing Association for timed speed runs. The club also operates the Bonneville Salt Flats speed runs."
Only the spelling seems wrong to me.

I figured it was a play on the Eldorado name and the Latin word "mirari" which means, among other things, to gaze at or admire.
I could be over thinking this, though.

To me, it sounds like a hugely overpriced middle eastern tapas restaurant and vodka bar.

Sounds like a beautiful vision which, alas, is never a reality . Sorry! no production car for you!
