He says, "I'm an easy going guy and I don't want to beat you up about your weight, becasue you probably already do that enough."
I said, "No actually it doesn't bother me at all."
For the record I'm 6' and 275lbs.

For the record, I'm shorter and fatter.

Do you beat yourself up about it?

I am 6'4'' and 230ish. It bothers me. I need to be more active. I appear skinny but don't feel it.
Did he give you the healthy as a fat horse speech?

I guess there is technically an ideal weight for men and women of every height, but it's not an exact science by any means. There are many factors that come into play. The important thing is that you're exercising and eating right.

No but I'd love to hear it.

No I usually tire out before I get too far into it :3
But really it's an issue for me - after losing 60lbs I landed a desk job and my weight has crept up to over where it used to be. It sucks, but I haven't hit the point yet where I'm working out constantly - diet change is the first thing I've done. Black coffee, no beer, zero junk food, and fast food has been out. We'll see how this goes.

According to that I'd need to drop 100 pounds and that is not going to happen without a run in with a chainsaw. I'm not going to say I can't eat more healthy and exercise more, but I'm not binging on creme pies and sitting on my ass in front of the tv all night.

Keep at it brother.

I'm 5'10 179lbs, ideally I want to get back down to 160ish for my wedding. Would start playing rugby again if my knees weren't buggered and I find the gym boring so trying to find ways to stay active with my job is a challenge.

Oddly enough, thats what my drivers license says I am.
(haven't cared to look at a scale in years)

Also switch to only drinking water at work, no soda (even diet soda). You'll be amazed at how much that helps.

Funny, I've always pictured you as a skinny black guy that does crack.

He may have approached it wrong, but docs are smart and are almost always looking out for our health. I'm a firm believer in listing to a docs advice (if he gave you any).

Shit, everybody is making me short and thin. I'm 5'9 150 pounds.

I think mine says the same. I lost some weight when I was a poor college student but I've been 275 since highschool
