This is video shot on the launchpad of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon. You get an up-close and personal view of everything that happens on the pad before and after liftoff.
Detailed analysis by a narrator gives much in-depth look at all phases of the period between t-5 to about 30 seconds after launch. If you are not hooked on everything about the Saturn's F1 engines like I am, you will learn a few tidbits in there. Remember these were basically hand made and designed with rulers and tracing paper.
Stay until the end, it is very much hypnotic, and surprisingly soothing.

very cool! amazing how much engineering went into all the support systems as well as the actual rocket and modules.

Yup. Just wish I had bothered with a banner image and that the video could be embedded so more eyeballs would have seen this.
