!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . This is to equalize the two disparate car designs; an effort that is akin to tilting at windmills. I can't imagine a world where the DPs are allowed to be slower than the LMP2s.

Also, Daytona Prototurtles have been through the wind tunnel?!

PS: I'm pleased I'll be at Petit Le Mans this year — so that I can see these cars run at Road Atlanta one last time before the bastardization begins.

The DPs go through the tunnel before they get homologated to ensure equalization. They can't slow P2s down very much, though, because then the PCs will be right on their tails. The DP owners keep whining about costs, but they're just gonna have to suck it up and develop the cars to make them competitive.

It's worth noting as well that they tested all the downforce packages. One potential solution includes using the Le Mans low downforce package on the P2s, which wouldn't be a big change at all (and might actually make the US the best place to prepare for Le Mans, since the ACO otherwise prohibits that trim from being run anywhere else but Le Mans).

Let's see what they come up with before we worry about bastardization. If we get really lucky, the P2s won't be changing anything more than the restrictors. I'm actually looking forward to potentially having a few Lolas next year, and a prototype class of more than 4 cars. Honestly, my biggest concern is the difference between the cars in how robust they are after contact.
