Seems to be the standard operating procedure. I kinda want to give someone some money, but nobody wants to take it. I'm currently hunting a stick welder and I've found 3 candidates. The one guy that did answer the phone is selling something from work because his boss told him to and has absolutely no information, and the shop is closed today.

Frustrating.. There are some real idiots out there, and using CL shows you exactly how many there are in your area.

Update!
One of the folks actually called back, and I drove down to San Antonio. I now own a stick welder! I start a welding class in 2 weeks. I think the first thing I'm going to make at home is a cart for the welder. It's HEAVY.
