In about a month or so, Dunkin Donuts should be opening their first new location in Denver near 4th and Broadway. They used to be here, but the last one in Aurora closed sometime around 2000, and by that time the quality was terrible.

And yes, I know I could always drive to Colorado Springs and get some, but that's a pain in the ass.

I never really liked Krispy Kreme (we have 2 left). We have LaMar's Donuts, and they're pretty good. I just like Dunkin better.

There is a severe lack of nice donut joints (that I know of) in the Stockholm area.

Every visit I've made to the States has been donut paradise.

As someone from New England, fuck Krsipy Kreme. Fuck it to hell. They are really, really awful.

Also as someone from New England, I find Krispy Kremes to be so far superior to Dunkin Donuts (please don't tell my relatives in Boston). The only donut I think DD does better is the chocolate glazed... those are hard to beat.

There's a certain nostalgic value to a cup of Dunkin coffee and a plain donut, but beyond that, I don't get it. That being said, I go there frequently, but just as a matter of convenience. During the school year, I'll take my three kids there on Friday mornings as a reward if they're good all week. They get a tasteless egg and cheese wrap and their choice of a donut or a couple munchkins, once they've finished the egg and cheese wrap.

I just realized that as I was writing the above statement, I was drinking coffee out of my Dunkin Donuts mug...

You do realize that most DD shops get their donuts frozen and just thaw them out before the sell them to you right? I would advise you to find a small local shop. All that aside though, sometimes only a DD can hit the spot.

It doesn't matter to me. I like their chocolate glazed better than any other donut shops' version (including local).

As a Bostonian I will say this:

When they came to Boston everyone went crazy for it, including me. their donuts are way better than Dunkins hands down. BUT, the first time i tried the donuts I also got an iced coffee. It was the worst fucking liquid i have ever put into my mouth. From that moment on I knew they would never make it in NE. Now they are gone and I still miss their donuts. That is all.

Personally I am a big fan of Lamar's Donuts but its a bit far from downtown. My rent is up in October and my move will be somewhere near broadway and 4th so I can be near DD :)
