So now it's an E30 M5?

Yes but much smaller and lighter

I get it. So an E30 M3 coupe has actually been an M4 this whole time. This is the real M3.

wow I really didn't see it in the first pic .... but it makes it less cool IMO.

why?
![]() 08/16/2013 at 23:50 |

Because I like this
more than this

See that is a huge difference as those are two different cars. The e30 2-door and 4-door are the same car. Same roof line, same frame, same everything except, windows, doors, and back seat. All the new ones are basically a whole different car between the coupe and sedan.

flegshifhs .... I'm sure your technically right, But IMO I prefer coupes to sedans. This better?

Again two completely different cars. I like the e36 coupe better than the sedan.

If you don't mind me whats so different? Is it just a slightly modified chassis, like the m6, m6 vert, m6 grancoupe? They've got enough of the same stuff for me to call the same car.

Window line, front fender, and roofline appear to be different. These are pretty significant design points. As I am typing this I am more and more understanding why they are making a 4-series.

Well of course the window line and the roof are different, thats why you buy the damn coupe! Those seem pretty insignificant compared to the hard to stuff to engineer inside the car that stays the same. There are so many variations of different cars, that I think calling them all "completely different" is a little misleading.

Cool car.
I'm developing a real liking for 4-door performance cars. Very Australian.

Does it have a chopped roof as well? Or do I have a crooked eye now? But something looks wrong at the rear roof section

I really like this. The e30 is the only three series in which I like the sedan and coupe equally. Otherwise with the exception of the e36, the coupe always looks better.

Sweet, although I think Terry Sayther's touring is even better!
