I won't be there, but I'll be sure to watch it. The Nationwide series is running 1:25's around the famed road course (slower than Pirelli World Challenge vehicles) and they're going to have a 90 lap race (Indy Car was a 90 lap race that ran caution free...). Should be tons of time for entertainment. I can't believe they're putting stock cars on that tight technical twisty track.

Have any Nationwide cars tested there? That might explain the slow laps.

NASCAR needs more road course races. While I'm not really a fan, I do watch oval and road course races on occasion and the road course races are always the most fun to watch.
It's also refreshing to see how much regular "oval" drivers have stepped up their road course game. There used to be just a handful of guys who were competent road course racers in the NASCAR series, now there are at least 10 solid racers.

Actually the lap times are about what I would expect considering the handling capabilities of the Nationwide cars. There's really only 1 reasonable straight on the entire track the rest of it is based on handling. Indy Cars can turn sub 1:10s and so can LMP cars. I believe a GT car will turn approximately 1:20.
