Look who decided to park by me this morning, and, I assume, as he/she got out they also marveled at how far car design has come

Oh wise older one, tell us stories of the days gone by. Tell us of the epic rally stages.

back in MY day we didn't need no aerodynamic design, we just blasted our way through the air!

Case in point.
Pretty awesome when you're parked beside the same kind of car. Just today my dad's Honda was right next to a ricer Civic.

What ever happened to the white rims?

Old Subie's closing remark to younger generations:
And remember; If in doubt, flat out

the tyres got old. When craigslist hunting for new tyres and found these wheels with good tyres AND 3 spare tyres for $200 :D
Hoping to sell the white wheels for $200 and break even

can be a lot of fun to park your modified toy next to a stock version of the same and see how far you've come
(none of my civics pictured)

Ver3 front bumber, turbo swap? My RS wants to make friends too

I make it a point to park next to other Subarus.
I waved down an old RS on my drive home. They waved back. Warm fuzzies inside my heart then happened.

'tis actually a v4 bumper (although I beleive its the same as the v3) and sadly no turbo, she is but a poser mobile

...or how low you've sank.

All USDM imprezas are poser-mobiles until 2002 :)
But then they got so ugly! GC8 is just so beautiful
Also, it's not about the size/aspiration of the motor, it's how you use it

the size is small, 'bout as small as the US had (I think we got a 1.6 FWD at one point that may have me beat), the aspiration is natural. The use is commuting, for now...

Oh, awesome!! That's definitely not a bad deal. xD
I didn't keep my car long enough to need to change the tires, but I remember constantly checking the Focuses at Pull-A-Part. Slightly thinner wheels, but same bolt pattern and since they're newer cars, most had been taken care of, so there were nearly new tires every other trip I took. Could have gotten a full set with better rims for about $60. B)

its actually how I ended up with the WRX wheels too. Got a flat tyre on the AWFUL discount tire wheels that the previous owner lumped me with. So I jumped on craigslist looking for wheels and found the WRX ones with tyres that lasted a year. Sold my old wheels (with one flat tyre, I couldn't believe it) and in the end the difference was $50. I <3 craigslist

I saw a Subaru 360 at the World Record Parade in Chicago, 356 cc's! That might be the smallest one we got lol
My RS is my dd but that doesn't mean I don't hoon it around every now and then

I was thinking specifically about the GC chassis :P

Ah, my bad! I cannot imagine how slow a 1.6 must be

Nice!
It's amazing how much cheaper it is to get used tires. Hell, you don't even need more than a lug wrench to install them half the time.
