I purchase a lot of cars at auction and use them for myself, for parts, or fix them up to flip them. One of my recent ones was used for a motor swap as detailed in my article: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

While browsing cars I always find something interesting so I am going to share some of those with you guys.

1. 1977 Alfa Romeo Spider

This Alfa looks to be in OK mechanical shape but is listed as not starting and the price is not bad as the seller is offering it at a Buy It Now price of $675 plus the DMV back fees of $89, with auction fees, this is looking to be a $900 car at the Buy It Now price. The miles are verified actual at 68034.

2. 1985 AMC Wagoneer

This Wagoneer shows 109k miles and sports the 5.9L V8 engine. It is listed as an Electrical damage vehicle but it does Run and drive so this could be an interesting project for someone. Pre-bidding is only at $100 so someone may get a steal and have a nice new project car or land in project car hell if the electrical does not play nice.

3. 2008 Tesla Roadster

This roadster shows some front end damage as well as broken suspension but only has 37k miles on the clock. Due to the damage it has been deemed Non-Repairable so it can no longer be titled for public use even if repaired. The But It Now price is set at $23, 575 so it is a steep entry price for an electric lawn ornament. It is confirmed as starting so you can sit inside and listen to the nice hum of the motor.

I would buy the Tesla and swap the electric drivetrain into an W108. I don't know why but I like the idea of a dead-quiet 60s Mercedes.

Where is the Wagoneer? Would you be able to send me a link to the listing?

That is a pricey broken car, but the Tesla looks to be fixable. Or at a minimum you could do something crazy with it.

Maybe swap in a 4-cylinder Toyota engine?

What, too soon?

Thank you for the link. Denver is out of the way for me. I hope someone can snatch this up and make her shine again.
