any opponaughts participating in this logistical nightmare in Burbank, CA's Empire Center shopping complex? It's apparently a flash mob car show called Krispy Kreme Tuesdays.
The cops are not happy - same thing happened last November and caused gridlock for miles on nearby streets and freeways.

I can barely count on two hands how many no front plate tickets I got when I was a kid in my 68 Camaro. Before paying the fine, I'd zip tie on my front plate, pay the clerk of the court 10 bucks and cut that shit off before I left the parking lot. I felt like mother fuckin Gandhi with my civil disobedience.
Still have never had a front plate.

Ended up not going — last year was already packed, and I figured things couldn't possibly end well with even more people and the entire Burbank/Glendale/Pasadena PD around.

Probably a wise choice: police closed access to the Empire Center well before 8 pm, causing a deluge of rice rockets (and a few 'donks'), clogging streets within a half mile radius. I work down the street but made it out (Southbound) with no problems. My coworker wasn't so lucky and got caught in the melee, turning a normally 2 minute stretch of commute home into a 45 minute delay.
And cops were relatively mellow: a few tickets but no arrests, i believe.

hmmm... it's like a 'no font plate' tax.
much better rate than the 'going fast' tax (speeding ticket)...
