Yeah, I think it is time to start looking for a '71-'73 Vega, an LNF and a six-speed, and build something wonderful. To the Craigslists!

I like the way you think. Or a Mavrick and an ecoboost 2.0!

Maverick or Pinto?

I like both so either would be cool.

You will be lucky to find one that hasn't rusted back to it's base elements. Pinto might be an interesting option, though.

Look, I found one!
(I kid, Pinto owner here)

I own that car's big brother! Good luck on the search, rust is going to be a boss enemy. On my Camaro the way that the rear quarters curve under means that they are blasted by gravel kicked up by the tires removing the paint and giving the rust monster free reign.

I'm as concerned with finding one that hasn't had a V8 dumped into the nose.

Indeed...

Well, at least you aren't looking at Mavericks. (I'm well known for my hatred of those abortions in car design)

I owned a Maverick once. Nothing more than Ford's Nova. I think a Torino or a Granada is much worse.

Something about the Maverick design just rubs me the wrong way. My cousin had a Torino, and other than getting about 6-8 mpg, it was a pretty good car as I recall. (Probably would have had better mileage if my cousin didn't have a lead foot)

They both weigh close to nothing. So it would freaking move with just stock ecoboost output of even the 1.6 let alone the 2.0 or 2.3!
