The customs office didn't tax the Fiat twin cam manual I got on Ebay for 520 bucks.

So, how was shaking like a green bamboo while hoping they won't tax it for 100% on a price they set themselves?

To be honest, I was already prepared to get screwed... And by prepared, I mean I was gonna wreck the ever loving shit of the local post office if they had taxed it, haha.

Seriously though, I'm surprised they didn't slap it with a red sticker, as it wasn't exactly discreet (the manual is massive) and the seller mailed it on express-express mail with the tightest tracking services offered in the UK. It was pretty much begging to be taxed!

That's great! Really great!
Now, to the garage and wrench for a week?

I was screwed last month, when I ordered my boots from the WRC store. They taxed me on 100%, at least there was an invoice and they taxed me on that. It was still worth it, though. The price with shipping and tax was R$160,00 while my other boots, made in Brazil, cost 180 or more.

Yeah, I had the same happen to me when I bought new shoes a while ago, they taxed me 100 fucking percent on the price... And it was still cheaper than getting the same pair in Brazil.

As for wrenching, that'll have to wait until summer, since I'm back to college already and there's not enough space in the garage to check the oil, let alone pull the engine...
