Sounds like textbook Swenglish, the guy's thinking in Swedish while speaking English (causing the grammar to suffer). It's extremely common among people aged 30+ here, complete with a heavy accent.

Not a big deal, look at French or Japanese speaking English, that's a laugh. Have you seen Jay Leno's interviews with Shiro Nakamura? He is a brilliant designer, but the way he talks, always makes me laugh a little.

Yeah I know, but most Swedish Millenials (and to some degree other generations as well) like me have above average or even excellent English, and therefore it's a bit embarrassing to hear Swenglish like that.
