I have been working at my current software job for almost 3 years. I loved it at first, however, when I moved into a new department with a new boss things took a nose dive. I have grown to loathe the very notion of going to work (over 1 hour commute doesn't help) as well as my boss. This boss would rather rule by fear and negativity than anything else. I can't do it anymore.
I miss selling things. I miss training and processes. And I miss working for my hometown dealer. I struck a deal (little higher pay than before and better benefits) to return to the dealership. I will be taking a 30 percent pay cut but my happiness will be well worth it. I get to put my notice in tomorrow. Two weeks until I no longer have to deal with an abusive, negative, micromanaging ass.
The attached video is how I feel.
I will leave on reasonably good terms because you never know where the world will take you.

I learned a long time ago that happiness is better than a little money. Go dude.

Thank you! I can't wait. The dealership is really happy to be having me back. I put them on the map with regards to their internet business. If it weren't for that, they wouldn't have much of a business now.
