Nope. I had to seriously think what "mach mir spaß" meant. That's after 10 years of trying to learn that language (from third grade until the end of high school). That's depressing.

I think my conversational German ends around "Sprechen Sie Englisch?" Incidentally, that's also the only phrase I've needed so far. :D

I believe it, one of my in-laws is German, when she returned to Das Vaterland last summer after 25 years here in America she could't believe how much English everybody spoke.
