I got back from the dealer where I was quoted $2.80 for one aluminium crush washer. If you buy a pack of 10, they are $0.85/piece (I bought the 10 pack). So Oppo, what's the most insanely priced part you've ever bought?

Replacement studs for the up-pipe on a WRX. From Subaru? $12 a piece. and $3 a piece for the nuts.... Aftermarket ones? $15 for all 5.

Oh also funny. Front CV axle from Subaru, $200. Aftermarket one? $70... 600hp rated aftermarket axle? $200..... Makes sense.

Any replacement hose for my old audi. A set of 10, molded into the right shape, for the coolant hoses is 300$. Then you have the Turbo inlet hoses - 180$. Oh and the crankcase breather hoses are 120$ for a single hose and some weird shaped little growth of a hose. 600$ for liquids and air to flow.......

Not something I've bought, but I was in Halford's today looking for something else and happened to notice they had sump plug washers on sale in those individual plastic bags with folded, stapled cardboard at the top. That looked a bit odd to me, because a sump plug washer is normally either free with an oil filter, or about 5p. The price? £2.99. Each.

I sell parts for a living, so there's some shockers out there.

But personally, paying $200 for an intake manifold that should have been covered under a recall. THANKS FORD.

Front brake rotor for my shifter kart. 250$ took me soooo long to pull the trigger but I had no choice.

Haha stand aside ladies and gentlemen, it's Alfa Time:

1. $50 for a single 10mm bolt with a special thread pitch.

2. $1000 clutch

3. $400 starter

4. $2000 brake master cylinder.

5. $500 rubber driveshaft donuts.

The Milano, by the way, was $400.

Either the $500 starter clutch assembly in a CRF450f engine (Weakest part in the starting system, and very destructed in FSAE use) or the bearings in the rear suspension of a Ski-Doo snowmobile. You can get them aftermarket for $20 for 15 bearings, or you can get them for $25 each from the dealer

I got a few....

Small, plastic, easy-to-break sunroof clip that holds on the manual sunroof in a Porsche 944: $171.56

The clock in the center console in a Porsche 944 is known to fail. There are very few cars still around with a working clock. It's a regular, cheap, quartz clock. Factory replacement: $213.25.

Also, on the same car, a gear in the odometer will break if you reset it when not perfectly still. This gear is smaller than a dime and until recently when aftermarket parts were made available, I remember this costing somewhere around $75.

High Pressure Fuel Pump internals for my Mazdaspeed3. Needed to run the stage 2 tune from Cobb. It's a small cylindrical piece of metal. $350.

$1000 headers (which have since gone up to $1250). Or a $900 torque converter (on a car which I'm going to eventaully make a manual anyway)

I own an e46. MotherF*&^ing plastic clips on body panels break and inevitably lead to the demise of whatever they were holding to the car. I spent over $500 on trim pieces this year.

Regarding the question, I spent around $350 after shipping for two of the rain gutters on the e46.
