I think blogging has brought up some great writers. Writing is a tough gig to begin with, it's why I went into the Air Force 22 years ago and now work as an executive in a space research firm. It pays. But I really enjoy the little blurbs I do here on Oppo. I'm trying to slow down and write a more thoughtfully and be more punchy at the same time. It's a tough balance. I love seeing guys like you and Travis, George, and Raphael do great things. The same goes over at Autoblog. Keep up the great work and you should be friggin' super PROUD of what you've done and what you will undoubtedly do in the future!

Also, a question: what's the policy for the occassional promotion/guest blogging on the weekends? I know I post something to Oppo you guys might see it/hear about it and bump it up to the FP, or should I just send it as a tip/email it to you directly?

Eh, I never considered what I'm doing "badass," it's just what I was doing before and Jalopnik was kind enough to give me a larger platform on which to do it. I think it's one of those things that you'd do no matter what the circumstance, you know?
As for getting a post promoted to the FP, if you drop me a line at ballaban@jalopnik.com I'll definitely take a look at it. Thanks!
