I installed a variable shift light in my car, and it is pretty slick because its all hidden behind the dash and lights up an empty spot on my gauge cluster, BUT I regret where I mounted the adjustment knob.

In my dash... dumb!

originally it was mounted in a blanked out plate lower down, I don't recall why I moved it... dumb

I have not had one yet that I have regretted and I have done a lot to my car. However when I was about half way through clearing and blacking my TLs head lights I though I was going to regret it after I accidentally broke a tiny little piece of the inner bit but luckily I am a crafty bastard and fixed it.

removal of rear bumper, although I do put my rubber work boots between the bumper and the car, I still wish I had not removed it and cut the bracket in half to get it off.

I regret throwing a Lysholm supercharger on my 1.4 litre Civic... Sure, it goes like a bat out of hell, when it goes that is.. blown up three engines (both heads and blocks) so far this year... the fact that I'm running it on E85 probably does not help :P

well, just the cover, but a buddy came over and we were looking over the car, and after a few beers, decided the 7-10 lbs would be significant weight savings, although i probably cary about 60-100 lbs of tools, equipment and junk in the car.

I also removed the passenger front seat, which I do not regret.

E85 is more knock resistant and burns cooler at the same lambda, as such provides a greater margin for error than E0 or E10 gas.. The fuel ain't the problem if you are lifting or torching heads and windowing blocks.

Hmm... you know, I newer thougt about that... perhpaps I should fuel up on E100 then, see if that helps. Disclaimer: The engines have always been stock, the only mod has been the Lysholm and more fuel. 1.4 litre honda engines cost next to nothing, so I don't mind blowing them to pieces :)

Do you have any datalogged from a pull where the motor let go? When or where does it usually occur if there is a pattern?

What is your target AFR and peak timing at full boost? how much boost are you running?

No log or anything, I'm just having fun with a piece of shit car with a supercharger I found at a junkyard :) But usually the engine grenades at close to 6500 rpm... as for boost, no clue really.. we just tune it like this "adjust fuel and ignition until we hear some ping.. then crank back/up a notch :)"

Perhaps not :) But my '69 Simca and my '59 beetle gets proper care, the DD Civic.. Not so much :) I don't need a car to go to work, so if anything grenades in my DD it's just a minor inconvenience.

I regret that my car's original owner modded my car with a crappy Maaco paint job and equally crappy tint. The car's brilliant, it's in great shape, and it drives like new, but it looks like a giant steel mistake.

Ebay stainless steel catback for automatic '97 Accord. WHY WHY WHY? I now have a Magnaflow muffler attached to that piping. I bought it rationalizing that it wouldn't rust out in 2 years in the north, but the drone is annoying me. I really miss the stock exhaust, especially the look of the chrome dual tip on the muffler that comes stock on the EX.

Removing amber from taillights, it looked weird after. I now have mint taillights (outers) I bought from a junkyard.

Wow. Without significant fuel system modifications trying to run on E85 is going to run leaner than a meth-addled hooker.

Stoich for E85 is 9.75, and it's going to take about 40% more fuel to make the motor anywhere close to happy. That means either a lot more fuel pressure, or bigger injectors, likely coupled with a higher volume pump or all you're going to do is blend motors.

Actually I think it's my bad, I never told that we'd modified the fuel system :)
