The average age of an American car is currently a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! - at least according to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , who may be dead but was a badass president whose research beyond the grave I have no trouble trusting.

I'm well aware not everyone here is American, so I wanted to take the age-pulse of our international Oppo fleet.
So, how old is your primary vehicle?
Mine is just 4, though I bought it a year ago. I've previously owned cars that were 15 and 14 years old at the time we parted ways.

7 years old, although I bought it almost 5 years ago. I plan on keeping it for a few more years, and saving the money that goes to my payments. My only issue is that it's a little too thirsty compared to more modern cars, but it should be fine once I paid it off.
Here's a stock photo.

Current DD is a 2002 BMW 525iT, so 11 years old, but going through my history...
2011-2013 - 1986 Toyota Shortbed Pickup - 25-27 years
2011 - 1984 Toyota Celica Supra - 27 years
2010 - 1994 Saab 9000 CSE - 16 years
2005-2009 - 1989 Mazda Miata - 16-20 years
So the math is (16+17+18+19+20+16+27+25+26+27+11)/11 = 20.181818181818etc = 20 years on average

My Cherokee is 14 years old, Has 222333 miles and I drive it just under 100 miles a day. I plan on having this jeep for the rest of my life. I am looking for a commuter car though, and I have narrowed my choices down to either a 65' Falcon or a late 80's Alfa Milano Verde.

As soon as she is back together, 40 years this year. My bike, which is my DD while the Z is in the shop, is only 2. The wife's DD is 0? 1? 0.5? Whatever a 2013 would be.

At 16, my car is old enough to drive itself.

Car was born in May of 1987, so that would make him 26 years and 3 (ish) months old.

31 and going strong.
I don;t know whether it counts though. I have few cars, and use them all as commuters when I feel like it, so there are weeks when its driven daily, and weeks when it is lying dormant, while other cars get their chance to shine

An unscientific skim through the responses suggests the average age of an Oppo DD to be even higher than the American average, which comes as no surprise.
Also, lots of cool cars. Also no surprise.

Polk probably goes by model year rather than specific date of manufacture, so if it's a 2013, it's > 1 year.

Mine is an '02, so 11 years. Yay! I'm average!

My previous and current DD. The Golf was 21 years old in 2012 when I decided I wanted something nicer. Now, 1 year later, the Peugeot is 13 years old.

My foul weather DD ('97 Outback) is 16, my fair weather DD ('69 Scout 800A) is 44.

My DD is 21. Old enough to vote, and being in Chicago, it probably already has a few times.

My current DD is brand spankin new, but the car that it replaced (and is now my weekend/utility car) was 20 years old, so putting those two together, puts me pretty close to that average.

My E24 is 12 days older than I am. We're celebrating our 30th birthdays together in September.
I also daily drove a 72 Scout II for a time. And I had an 85 celica, and an 86 Mazda B2000. And a 94 Pathfinder. Come to think of it, most of my cars have been old...

13 going on 250,000 (miles). It's a model year 2000 Ford Expedition. Awful on gas, and the supercharger I threw on it doesn't help (but sounds like pure sex).
