Just posted from my phone and it is awesome! Trying the tablet now. It's about time we've had some mobile capability!

If you can see this, it works.

I don't bother on mobile anymore... never keeps me logged it and when it prompts me to do so, I get a hanging white screen of death. I leads me to assume my post wasn't worth the hassle and aggravation to get it to work right.

Can't upload pictures. But that's nothing new. I think that worked once.

It worked fine for me in the past..... except for the lack of tags I had no issues with it. Tried it earlier today and it was slow, pics wouldn't upload properly, and the post I made disappeared.

Lemme try this upload again....

EDIT ON PC: Nope. Tried with and without text to upload a photo from my Android, no go.

What phone and version of Android?

LG Lucid 2, Android 4.1.2

Funny thing is, it worked just fine before the "update".

That happens to me too. A refresh should fix it.

Following up on F86Sabre's post ... but will we regain the option to draft/schedule posts from the mobile editor? Some of us used that feature.

I'm not thrilled that the iPad is considered mobile OS. I understand the physics involved concerning ipad/iphone OS, but the mobile Kinja doesn't seem to allow draft or scheduled posts. I was able to do that before. If I'm missing something then let me know.

I am also seeing I cannot edit my comments. For what it's worth.
I know there are going to be startup problems. Figured I would share any that need attention.

Good:

Tags!

Holy crap, it's not trying to "fix" words and instead ruin everything when I hit backspace!!!!!

I like the overall look of the "new post" box

Bad:

Can only insert one image per post. I know people had problems inserting images at all with the previous version, but I never had that issue and liked being able to do mini photodumps from car shows and such. Honestly if I had to pick between the ability to add tags or the ability to insert multiple images I'd go with multiple images in a heartbeat. I can always edit in the tags later when I get on my computer.

I liked having the free floating box for replies because it allowed me to see the original post/message I was replying to. Very useful when writing a long reply or responding to a multi-part question

Thanks for testing it out and writing down your feedback. Are you seeing the editor on your phone or tablet or on your desktop computer? (You should only be seeing it on your phone or tablet). Can you let me know what browser, version, and OS you're on?

Kinja'd!!!1

In terms of the single image upload, because it'll primarily be used on mobile devices, we're sticking with the ability to post just one image. If you want to post multiple, you can paste in one or more image URLs into the post and those will get turned into the actual images when you hit submit.

Kinja'd!!! Greg T > Gamecat235

Thanks - we're starting with the basics first. We will probably add in the ability to draft and/or schedule posts.

Kinja'd!!! Greg T > f86sabre

Kinja'd!!!1

Thanks - we'll likely add in the ability to draft and schedule posts. iPad gets the same editor as iPhones and other mobile devices because of the limitations of Safari in iOS vs desktop browsers like Chrome or Firefox. Safari on iPhone and iPad is essentially the same, so on those sorts of devices, you get the editor that is optimized to work with those browsers.

If you're on your phone, you should be able to upload one photo. If not, something is probably wrong. Can you let me know what browser, version and OS you're on?

I'm on an iPhone 4, using the Safari browser.
In regards to images, I would contend that people on mobile devices are just as likely, if not moreso, to want to post multiple images. Say they're at an event and want to share the experience, or have come across something interesting and want to show it from different angles. Restricting people to a single image seems like a mistake to me. When I'm somewhere cool I want to be able to share it with my oppositelock family

Makes sense. Chrome on the ipad would give the desktop experience then? I know there is a request desktop site option in Chrome that can be activated for some sites. I use both browsers depending on what I'm doing, so I can just switch for Oppo. I kind of hate mobile optimized sites on the ipad, but like I said, I understand why it is like it is.

Kinja'd!!!

I use Groupthink and I just found this and was not happy. I can't use italics anymore which I use all the time , but then I started using asterisks in place and WHUT? It turned into italics! Holy crap! Sooo is there a secret code for bold, too? And do I now just have to put a link as is, or is there a secret to that too?

I'd really like to have the old editor back, even with the stupid autocorrect stuff over this. I like being able to see what I'm replying to because sometimes I forget what I was going to say. But I assume you're not going to go back, I just wanted to put my two cents in.
