This "rocket exhaust" style rear light - did it originate on the Fairlane? I don't actually know, but I do know it carried through to the Falcon and the Galaxie for a good while into the 60s. With different variations, to be sure, but the general idea remained the same.

Oh hey, an Aussie gen. 2. Badical. I'm not the fan of the "arrow head" side line the US gen. 2 adopted in 64 that some people are, and the Aussie butt-change from the '60-'63, while arguably a bit goony, is rather neat.
