I never quite understood... How do you find all the controls? I'm pretty good at blind typing but every now and then I have to look for certain buttons when it comes to more elaborate control schemes... It does look like an awesome concept, though.

I am guessing it will take some calibration to line up the virtual wheel with the real one.

I have the biggest tech boner ever right now... Thank god I already have a wheel. Affording a rift should be a pretty easy pill to swallow.

iRacing already has Occulus Rift support and they're developing things to make it even more functional. I think there's a 184 page thread about it for people who have it and people who have questions about it.

Meh your sim racing wheel is simple. 3 buttons for your left/right thumb. Other than that the 8 buttons on the shifter you're never ever going to look down at anyhow so it is all about feel and memorizing what they're mapped to.
Check out the Fanatec CSW though. That one is going to take a bit more to figure out.

I seem to remember an awful lot of control mappin in rFactor for a bunch of settings like HUD, views, traction, ABS, the lot. Took up nearly the entire keyboard. :D
Then again, if you're simming it, might as well stick to the cockpit view and one set of settings. *shrug*

It really isn't that complicated. Look at the shifter. There's a 4 way D-pad for up/down/increase/decrease. There's a diamond pattern set of buttons for cycling through menus/select & deselect/other random button
there are then 4 other buttons for pre-set HUD views.
And that doesn't touch any of the buttons on your wheel.
