Because dignity car.
I consider the purchase of an X6 to be an immediate loss of dignity. You're not really driving a coupe, not really driving an SUV, but not really in the middle either. I'm not sure about those pink go-faster stripes.

I'd still take the BMW over the Hyundai.

I can't argue your personal choices.
I'd go with the other Bimmer behind the Hyundai.

Do you happen to live in the GTA? If so, I've seen that same X6. It's terrible.

This is the strip mall right across from the former Midas (it's like Eurotune or something now) on Steeles Ave. E.
Don't live far from the spot. Yes, it's hideous.

But, behold the X6M! It's so, so wrong, but also so, so right. I've been behind the wheel of one. It's like a pizza with a stuffed crust, but instead of cheese it's filled buttercream frosting. It seems like a terrible combo, but after one bite you'd want to finish the entire pie.

It's so bizarre to me that I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing.
I really hope that the SUV-ness means it could be a decent rally vehicle.

It could be a stellar rally machine, if you're not afraid of it's BMW-ness (e.g. Price)

Also, AWESOME Community reference!

Even now, rally cars made for "rally" are expensive. Spending even more money on a BMW rally monster would be fine, especially if you kick a lot of ass in your bloated weird super SUV thing (also consider that Group B was entirely exotic crazy monster cars)
I have an 8-bit version of "Daybreak" as my cell phone ringtone. Does that make me streets ahead?

You're ringtone is cool. Cool cool cool.
I miss the group B cars. They were practically murderers with 4 wheels.

Also, the X6M was a lucky hit for BMW. The X6, however, is the downside to the buttercream pizza analogy; just because you can make something, doesn't mean you should.

*does Troy's finger movements*
It's sad how such an awesome class could never exist today, what with the literal murdering of the Group B cars. There aren't any major makes making incredibly exotic rally cars anymore (save for Bowlers)

Pop pop!
i second that. I suppose we'll always have the RallyFighter.

In a way it's like the Cobalt and the Cobalt SS, in that one was pretty mediocre, and one was supremely epic.

Oh, that's nice!
If only that Giogiaro concept made it into some crazy Lancia management's hands today...

What I wouldn't give for a modern Delta HF Integrale...

Yeah, I saw this driving down Bloor not too long ago. I was pretty blinded.
