So, being a newbie to the car world, I want to start a weekly or bi-weekly post about the cars that you guys all love and enjoy. Basically what I want to do is have you guys and gals drop your suggestions of your favorite (and most outlandish/awkward/weird) cars into the comments section below and I'll do my one or two weeks of research and then display it to you all. Hopefully this will help us newbies learn what and why you all love what you love and give us a way to learn just a little more about each car. So please, go wild. There is no such thing as too many suggestions. Also, if you happen to own the cars you are suggesting and want to display it in the article, just let me know and I'll make sure it gets in there.

I love Ford GT/GT40's. I like Mustangs of all years, and I have a thing for Edsels (don't know why).

Well, you picked a good site for a newbie. None finer. I have so many weird cars I like, I will have to think on this a little while and get back.

Rotary engined cars, especially the REPU. Why the hell they decided to make a truck featuring a nearly torque-less motor, I'll never know. What I do know is that I think they're awesome, and I really want to own one someday.

I also love anything with a 26B.

How about something unique and interesting to your local area?

An article on inline 12's would be most titillating.

Being in the military, My local area changes quite a bit. Do you want me to look into the vehicles that are currently local to me or do you want me to look into the vehicles of my home state?

Now I'll be honest. I never knew they made an inline 12. Sounds fantastic and that will definitely have to be something I look into.

Why am I not surprised. It would be cool however to go into the differences of the GT40 vs. the GT. Either that or do a history of the GT which would most definitely reflect the GT40.

Like I said, I'm a newbie. You'll have to be a little more specific for me but it definitely sounds like something worth getting into.

I've always had a soft spot for the Audi UrQuattro. Changed racing forever, looks nice, is durable, etc etc. Not really outlandish or weird, but revolutionary...Here's a picture:

REPU stands for Rotary Engine Pickup Truck, it was produced by Mazda from 1974-1977. It contained one of the earliest examples of the 13B engine that would eventually be put into the RX-7. The Wikipedia article about Wankel engines serves as a pretty good primer on the subject.

I've owned a 2003 Evolution VIII since new. Now has 130,000 miles on. It is a fantastic car. Great power, wonderful and predictable handling and fun looks. I also love the fact that it is practical. The kids love the sound of the turbo and the faster faster! These rally bred family hauler is a great all around car. An article on the evolution of the Evolution could be fun.

I'm in the Air Force Reserve. I always find what my fellow service members are driving. A lot of them save up their deployment money and buy some cool cars. I know one guy who has a really nice GT-R for instance. That sort of thing.

I love Lancias. Well, the older Lancias. I don't like the newer ones that are just Chryslers. But the 037, the Stratos, the Delta. YES. YEEESSSSSS! The 037 especially. It's my favorite car in Forza Horizon. I also have a soft spot for Corvairs, 355s, F50s, and Integra Type Rs.

I said that as a joke and it turns out they actually produced a few. Blew my mind.
