This turn on Columbia Parkway U.S. 50 West is known to locals as dead-man’s turn. It is a decently sharp right-hander that has claimed countless numbers of cars, but why? Everyone knows that the E46 M3 is the greatest of all M3s. There will be no more discussion on that topic. What if I told you that moderate-high mile examples are drifting down into the $12Ks? In fact, a patient buyer might pick up one for not much more than $10K. Now, I'm your friend, and I would never tell you that a $12K M car was a bargain. I think everyone can appreciate a nice rack. That is not a question here. However, what I have recently found myself attracted to is sports/sporty cars with roofracks. For some reason I find roofracks on cars that you wouldn't necessarily think of as utility machines extremely sexy. Porsche 911 Turbo? Nice! Porsche 911 Turbo with roofrack? Raawr!

Ever since Silverstone the BMW's been hesitating up and down the rev-range that developed into a full-on misfire. I replaced the plugs (which were pretty crappy) and cleaned the oil off a couple of them that was left over from the leaky valve-cover gasket. I also replaced the intake boot which was ghetto fixed with leaky electrical tape. That helped, but it didn't fix it completely.

You hear people say it all the time. You read about it virtually every hour on Jalopnik. It's quite important to any car and comes in four flavors. I am talking about the drivetrain layout. Mainly, what wheels get the power from the engine. On a car site, all you hear is "RWD FTW" or 'RWD only".

Before I begin, I just want to say that my criteria for a car like this does not include how *good* the car is. Yes, speed/reliability/design will be considered but sometimes a good story or a weird tech or just something special about the car can make it worth remembering. Obviously if the car was absolutely stellar and well thought out and came out at the right time then everyone would know about it and they'd be collector's items. I'm looking for cars that aren't there......yet. With that said, let's get on to the car in the title!

I went to Italy last month for work so my wife flew over and we took our delayed honeymoon. The Ferrari Museum piece and the Drive Across America were truly exceptional. Bravo! The others are great too, but those too had my eyeballs glued to them.
