I found this classic Saab Turbo on the Norwegian market. At first, the price seems a bit steep for an old car, but it's a turbo. In fact, this was the first turbo car that worked properly and reliably. Mostly according to Saab-enthusiasts, but those guys are usually people you can depend on. This car have done just over 122 000 km, which isn't a lot in 35 years.
This car was sold new back home in Sweden, but went to Germany in 2011. In May this year it was imported to Bergen, Norway, where you can get it now. It looks like it's in mint condition, with the characteristic rims in good shape as well. This car is actually very rare back home as well. 10 years ago there were only 275 1978 Turbos registered in Sweden.
145 hp might not sound like a lot, but since this car is old and lighter than newer cars it will certainly feel fast. Add the feeling of early turbo technology as well, and you'll probably be smiling each time you drive it.
But is it worth it? You can get similar 900 Turbos for much less, but would you get the same feeling? NP or CP for this piece of history?

gorgeous, but that is museum piece money, which that thing is not. Tough call, but I say CP

NP. That thing looks MINT.

I wouldn't pay that much for one, but it's the kind of money they go for. Being a proper Bond car doesn't help.

It will probably be sold to a private Saab-museum/collection. I think this is a case where he doesn't need to sell it, but would sell if someone shows up with that kind of money.
I've also heard from Saab enthusiasts that complete project cars can be half the price of this mint one...

That is a thing of beauty there
NP all the way up and down the mountains

you have got some crazy Saab enthusiasts out there then. There was a 78 Turbo and a 79 5 door EMS on mass. craigslist for a $1500 last month. Both running, both not too rusty. Was very tempting (the 5 door ems is one of my all time faves)

We do. But they sold more of those high-end models in your part of the world, making them cheaper now. The interest for those cars are a lot higher here as well.
The EMS is a fine gem as well. It's like a turbo-model, but without a turbo.

It is funny, my father sold his 2 MG's to a guy in Denmark for double the value here. Dude was filling containers with them. He said get em to Boston and here was the price. Sent them to Poland for a restore and said he was getting insane money for chrome bumper B's (for left hand drive ones).

I believe him. Denmark has insane car prices as well, and Poland has cheap workforce.
It's probably the same with all the guys here importing Volvo Turbos from the US. If they're in good condition they can get really good money for them.
