My great grandfather bought this as his first car on trade for a pack of mules. My grandmother inherited it when he passed away and has kept it since. It sat in the garage for some time and when her husband passed away more than twenty years ago it seemed to have no hope. My grandmother remarried about 8 years ago to a major gearhead. He spent much of his time restoring the car back to running condition. Now they tour the country with it and bring it to Hupmobile meet ups. These are some random pictures I took while visiting them over Christmas. It's covered and in storage but there it is.

It's pretty great. When I was little and they first got it running I remember riding around and not being able to reach the fold over foot rest bar. Now I'm 6'4" and the rear is still huge.

I was posting Hupmobile pics just the other day - one of the forgotten greats. One of the things was an ad advertising the door size: "Built for a man, not an eel".

They really are great. I love it when my step-grandfather talks about all the stuff it had back in the day and how advanced it was. It's such a neat car and I hope I can inherit it at some point and with it like they do now. I'm sure I'll be the only 16-20 something bro driving an 80 year old Hup.

I read that as Humpmobile and I was like :|
I do not see the large backseat I assumed would be there if it was really a humpmobile.
