profiles that time forgot for interesting cars, projects, personalities, and images. ….then posting them here.
Here we have ChevyCamaroGirl's 1994
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
ChevyCamaroGirl's Camaro is sporting a 3.4L V6. The gallery shows engine and front subframe removal, but the captions have been lost since the website's reformat. We can just assume that the engine was being replaced.
Manual transmission, NICE!
Well hey, CamaroGirl cleans up pretty good. I wonder if she uploaded any more..
She did.

I can't get to it at work, assume it's built around some sort of attempted "modeling career"?

Hey this article is about me! Pretty cool! I have a 2010 Camaro SS now. I actually do almost all the work to my Camaros.

Welcome to Oppositelock, Laurie!
In the profile for the '94 showed you working on it, but we couldn't tell what you were doing? Was there something broken, or were you doing an upgrade?
What kind of modifications/upgrades (if any) have you done to your 2010 SS?

I don't normally comment on peoples appearance but you are one very(VERY!) attractive lady.

Hey there McMike!
So the story goes.... My Mom gave me her Camaro and a month later it blew a head gasket. Damn L32 engines! When I found out my local shop was charging $1500 to replace 1 gasket, I knew I could do it for less myself. So, I found a new performance 3.4L to replace the stock. I did the overhaul in my Dads garage, even using his tractor to lift the body off the sub frame. Got the heads resurfaced, then put it all back together only referencing forums and my shop manuals.
I will have to say it was a tough project. I spent nearly everyday after work for 2 months working on it. But it felt damn good when I turned that engine over for the first time. I literally cried.
Now I have a 2010 Camaro SS. It is gorgeous! I got her all stock. All the upgrades to my 2010 SS I've personally done, except the vertical doors. Sorry, to much to list, you'll have to check it out at Camaro5, http://www.camaro5.com/forums/camarog… or http://www.camaro5.com/forums/member.… . Last year my Camaro won 5 awards at 4 shows and just recently scored my first sponsorship. In the near future I will also be filming DIY installation videos of sponsored parts.

Thanks for the update!
Since a lot of profiles on CarDomain are from so long ago, I often wonder what happened to the cars and the owners over the years, and it's really cool to hear from someone.
I'm thinking about doing a "where are they now" update, and share the links and details about your 2010. Nothing long or super detailed, just re-sharing the content you have already shared on the Camaro5 site.
So what happened to the '94? How long did you have it? Did you end up selling it?

A "Where are they now" update would be awesome!
Once I got my 2010 all I wanted to do was work on it, so I felt it was time to sale my 76, 92 and 94 Camaros. I had the three Camaros for about 10 years. Sometimes I regret not keeping them, since my goal was to eventually own one of each generation. Maybe again someday, I'll just need a bigger garage for all my toys first.

Do I understand correctly, that you had a blown head gasket and your solution to fix it was yanking the engine and putting a better engine in there instead? Using the resurfaced heads from the original engine?
So if I understood: you said, "Damn, there's a problem with the head, I'll get a new block for it."

Well. Ms Laurie is a sight for sore eyes, mechanically inclined, and clearly pretty darn smart...seems like a winning combination to this man...

The original engine had wear. I got a deal on a rebuilt engine with a 10 year 100k warranty. The heads weren't warped, so why not use my rebuilt heads? Heads have a core, eventually someones gonna end up with them.
In the end it all worked out. The car is still running strong. I learned a lot and I enjoyed the experience. If I never attempted to fix my own car, I don't think I'd have the love for cars like I do.

Awesome! Thank you McMike.

Hey, it sounded reasonable to me with out any more explanation. I'm pretty sure the first choice (barring dropping in a full blown ready to run crate performance engine) for any car person is what you did.
And your further reasoning makes sense as well. I seriously applaud you.

I enjoy the further explanation as well. MOAR details on a car are always good. Thank you for replying.
