And I was like, aww. Not quite.

305 hp would have been unbelievable 25 years ago. We would have had 3.7 liter banners across the top of our windshields. I thought my IROC was badass with 215 hp.

I disagree. I think there is a distinction between a muscle car and a pony car. A pony car doesn't require a V-8 just like the original mustang didn't require a V8, those old Inline 6 motors they put in the original mustangs were fine. Plus there are plenty of young people who want a mustang but can't afford the GT, or it just simply doesn't make sense, the V6 gets 30MPG on the highway and is almost as fast to 60 as the outgoing 4.6V8. Hell the 3.7 V6 makes more power than any Foxbody Mustang or any SN95 mustang other than the SVT Cobra.

I'm talking about my 1993 2.3 which was the highest power rated N/A 2.3 in its 14 year run quoted at a whopping 105hp! The SVO 2.3 and some of the early 2.3 Turbos are a different story and the new one should kick ass, but the stock little N/A 2.3 is a turd with motor mounts and not an ounce of pride deserving a badge lol

Trust me, I daily drive one...
