Very pretty watch, but I still take issue with the "SWISS MOVT" labeling. It is supposed to state "SWISS MOVEMENT" in full.

Totally agree. Actually I think it was you who got me looking into that, since I'm not terribly informed with watches. I told her my reservations but that I didn't really care since it's more look than function for me. They certainly tout the Swiss thing a lot too on the packaging that it was in, but just look how pretty!

It's a Ronda quartz movement if I'm not mistaken - real Swiss purchased from a movement supplier in Switzerland. I'm sure the MOVT is to do with the look of the watch as the full MOVEMENT might make it look lopsided.

Nice present you have here, your wife really understands you.

I am big watch enthusiast, I must say theya re even bigger passion of mine then cars, but I just don't like the Autodromo offerings. I know they are inspired by motoring culture, but when I look at them, I just don't get the same boner, as when I am watching at a TAG Heuer for instance. The lack of an all steel/alu/titanium is also a kind of a dealbreaker for me.

I like a great deal of the Tag Heuer offerings, but the prices might be out of my range for a while at least! :)
