For someone who got a retractable hardtop convertible specifically because I refuse to garage my sports car for the Buffalo winter, I got an early Christmas present on this jolly December 24th. As temperatures rose early this week and melted all of our recent snowfall I woke up to 35°F temperatures and a wet brown world. However while at work the temps plummeted to 17°F and the sky dropped an inch of powder on top of a hard ice pack.
As I left the office in the dying light of evening I was in a jolly mood and decided to take a look at my company's unused and empty back lot at a nearby office park. I was greeted with a completely fresh and not yet plowed winter playground. While humming Christmas carols at the wheel of the Blizzak enhanced Copper Red 2011 mx5 (affectionately referred to as Moxie) my smile grew as large as hers and I was inspired to pull out the old cell phone and spread the cheer.
So come all ye Jalops and cozy up to the fire and sing along; because it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together.
