Are the people who create Gran Turismo okay? How on earth is an Acura NSX a muscle car? Why is it eligible for entry in GT6's Fighting Muscle challenge? Which brings me to the Classic Supercar Festival. Why is a classic Dodge Challenger R/T eligible for that?
Since when are the Corvette, Viper, and GT muscle cars? American supercars in their own right.

And why is there no Pinto Wagon?

The NSX is their everything. They must figure a 500 hp Challenger is a supercar, even though it's too heavy

I'm waiting for my update to finish, but yes. They have had strange things eligible for events...

Exactly! I jut did the Classic Supercar Festival and nothing there was even possibly mistakable for possibly being a supercar.

"Since when are the Corvette, Viper, and GT muscle cars?"
Since always? 'American supercar' is just a euphemism for muscle car used by people who think there's something wrong with muscle cars.

Welcome to the wonderful world of car branding. Acura only exists in America. Therefore, it is an "American" brand in GT terms since it is only sold in America. Similar to how Vauxhall/Opel are the same except vauxhall is british and opel is German.
So the NSX is technically an "American" car in the GT world so you can use it in "muscle car" events.

The Vette, viper, and Ford GT are american supercars in my mind. But also muscle cars,

This was bothering me the other day. It bothered me in GT5 too. The hot hatch race can be done in any european car. There is no hatchback qualifier in the game. Also, the Focus ST cannot be used in the race because it is an American hot hatch. Civic Si? Nope, too Japanese.

The only supercar out of the 3 is the GT for crying out loud.
