It's supposed to be in USA, but somehow it ended up in South America, and this is how it got there.

Sorry, what do you mean supposed to be in the USA. I saw this picture earlier this week making rounds down here (Bolivia) and some where claiming it's on a local river. Some where saying its a photoshop, but I could think it's also true because there is a lot of drug money in this area.

I was teasing, meaning it had been stolen and it was making it's way south by way of plane, train and what I shall loosely refer to as a boat.

I actually would'nt doubt it. At least on my state It has not been imported. I checked this week with customs and it's not registered here (at least).
