My girlfriend finally finished Evangelion. Though she hasn't watched End of Evangelion yet because I begged her to hold off until I could watch it with her so I could see her reaction. This is going to be HILARIOUS!

Well then allow me to educate you!
Neon Genesis Evangelion is a 1995 anime famous for it's philosophical themes, loads symbolism, and being one of the first anime series to feature emotionally broken protagonists. Evangelion's ending is also famous for being a complete mindfuck. The ending was the result of Hideaki Anno's (The director of Evangelion) quickly deteriorating mental state and also the lack of funds, leading to the ending at parts to be drawn in black and white and using footage from the other episodes in what amounts to a psychological analysis of the characters. This ending left many people very confused. The ending in fact was so confusing that a second ending had to be made in the form of a movie called "Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion". However End of Eva was not much better and if anything was even MORE confusing.
