Sometimes I hate customers. It's not my fault if you if you don't want to listen/take notes when I say that our main package includes all of the premium movie channels except HBO and Cinemax. I even reviewed the order with you before we got on the phone with the back office and you heard me tell the phone representative "No HBO or Cinemax bolt-ons".

Don't try and accuse me of being deceitful because you don't know how to listen and ask questions. If you'd just told me that you wanted HBO added to the order, despite me asking you multiple times and receiving a 'No' each time, I could've just added it for $5. Now your all worked up and my manager is trying to run damage control on my approval rating all because you've got shit in your ears.

Grr.

Just one question, Desu?

Do I get HBO with that?

Do you want HBO with that? I can either give it to you free for 3 months or give it to you for $5 a month for the duration of your discount.

Didn't you work for a dealership? Did I miss an LCE?

One thing I've learned is that customers sometimes just want to be angry and facts won't convince them otherwise

Oh, yeah. I wasn't happy trying to sell Toyotas. Now I'm working for AT&T U-Verse.

I currently work for an AT&T OBTM "service partner". I feel your pain. Although I deal with reporting and SQL and all that backend shit, rather than sales.

I feel your pain. After working in retail for 11 years, there is one thing I've learned, customers are stupid and don't know what they want, they have an idea but that idea has no link to reality. I miss working in an outdoor store (walking boots, waterproof jackets, etc...) as you had a customer come in with 'x' amount of money and a travel destination already paid for. Simply ask where they are going, what they will be doing, what time of year, how much can they realistically afford to pay and will it get used again (no point selling an expensive jacket to someone who will wear it once and think you've short changed them and never want to come back). Great job but my manager was a control freak with no idea.
